A Rough Day at the Hospital.

As most of you know, today Bella was going to have her right foot operated on. She has flat feet and when she is very active they hurt her. She was given implants but when she wore them they cut into her foot so the doctor opted to do surgery. We have known about this surgery for over a month and she was not looking forward to it at all. This morning we dropped her off at school so I could come back home and do some homework and so she wouldn't be counted absent. She really wants to have perfect attendance. When her dad and I get to the school to pick her up she walks out smiling and eating her apple. Can you imagine my surprise. I took the apple from her and left it in the car. Of course when the anesthesiologist asked me if she had eaten she very proudly answered yes, that she had eaten some of her apple. He then asked me about how long ago, and I told him that it had been about 4 hours by then. He told the surgeon he felt more comfortable waiting a while longer before putting her under. So they bump us back to three hours later. Then after being there about 5 1/2 hours they told us that all the surgeries were running behind and they would need to schedule us for another day. So she gave a blood sample and had to pee in a little cup for nothing. One of the pictures you see her showing off her band aid and she is frowning. SO NOW WE ARE SCHEDULED FOR NOVEMBER 24TH. Three days before Thanksgiving. We are all tired and ready for bed. Thank you to all that called and inquired. Thank you to Morgan for picking up my munchkin and especially thank you for our Home Teacher Br. Livingstone. What a great family you have and what a wonderful example you are to all of us. We can only hope to be like you one day.
